Spokane had to wait a little longer for this one.
Slightly Stoopid’s stop at Gesa Pavilion was originally planned for August. After the date changed, the Road Trippin’ Summer Tour finally made its way to Spokane, Washington, on October 6.
The calendar may have said fall. However, the music still carried plenty of summer energy.
Road Trippin’ Reaches Spokane
Slightly Stoopid has built its sound by moving comfortably between reggae, rock, punk, and other influences.
That mix has also helped shape the atmosphere of the Road Trippin’ tour. Rather than staying locked into one sound, the concert could move between laid-back moments and songs with more punch.
For the Spokane stop, The Elovaters and DENM were also part of the lineup.
After the rescheduled date, fans finally had their chance to experience the tour in person.
An Outdoor Setting for the Music
Gesa Pavilion gave the concert an open-air setting.
That worked well for a band whose music is closely associated with outdoor festivals, warm-weather tours, and a relaxed concert atmosphere.
Once the sun went down, the visual side of the production had more room to make an impact.
The stage could shift with the music while still keeping the performance at the center.
Giving the Songs a Visual Identity
Laser technician Mitchell Blakemore handled the laser production for the evening.
The setup included six 58-watt KVANT lasers and six 6-watt KVANT ClubMax lasers with PASS.
Using different laser systems helped create depth across the stage. Some looks could stretch across the venue, while others stayed closer to the performance.
A Summer Tour Finds Its Fall Moment
There was something fitting about the Road Trippin’ Summer Tour reaching Spokane in October.
Fans had waited beyond the original summer date. Yet when the concert finally arrived, the season mattered a little less.
The music, outdoor setting, and visual production gave Spokane the show it had been waiting for.
For one October evening at Gesa Pavilion, summer got an encore.
