From Animation Degree to World Tours: Meet Tech Star Tuesday’s Nisha Ramnath!

This week’s Tech Star Tuesday features Nisha Ramnath from Columbus, Ohio. With 14 years in the industry, Nisha has worked on some of the biggest productions in entertainment. Along the way, she’s combined her creative background with technical expertise to help bring incredible shows to life.

How long have you been in the industry, and what inspired you to choose this career?

Every technician has a different story. For Nisha, it all started with a creative passion.

“14 years, I started at an SFX company and doing laser programming became my specialty because I have an animation degree.”

That foundation has opened the door to an impressive list of productions over the years.

What are some of your highlights or proudest moments?

From concert rehearsals to stadium productions, Nisha has been part of some incredible experiences.

“Working on Beyoncé Cowboy Carter Rehearsals, Running the Christina Aguilera Vegas Residency over Christmas and NYE before COVID, Programming for Hasley Love and Power Tour, Programming the AFL Stadium Graphics show with SoulStorm Lasers, Creating a 2020 Holiday Drive-in Laser Show with Emerald Owl Productions, Retiring Brain Dawkins of the Philadelphia Eagles with stadium graphics show, Court Graphics for Kobe Bryant’s Retirement, Programming a Laserman Sequence for Criss Angel’s MindFreak Residency at Luxor.”

Every event brings something different. However, one responsibility always stays at the top of the list.

What’s your biggest responsibility while you’re in action?

“Complex zoning.”

What may sound simple, it’s one of the most important parts of creating a safe and successful laser production.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give future laser technicians?

After years of working alongside crews across the industry, Nisha believes one thing matters just as much as technical skill.

“Be kind to everyone, I have met the same techs after 5-10 years and they still remember meeting me and how we got along.”

A reminder that great relationships can leave just as much of an impact as great productions!

What’s the most recent event you’ve been a part of?

Nisha continues to stay busy, with her latest production bringing her to one of the well-known, America’s Rock & Metal Tattoo Festival.

“Inkcarceration 2026.”

Whether she’s programming for world-renowned artists, creating stadium graphics, or supporting major festivals, Nisha brings creativity, precision, and professionalism to every production. We’re proud to have her as part of the Laser Light Company family and look forward to seeing where her talent takes her next!
