Lighting Up The Great Saltair: Inside Das Energi 2026!

Das Energi Music Festival brought electronic music fans together at The Great Saltair in Magna, Utah, from August 7–9, 2026. Across the festival weekend, music filled the venue while Laser Light Company added high-powered laser effects across two stages.

With artists rotating throughout the lineup, the visuals needed to move with the music. So, the crew used live busking to control the effects in real time. Each performance brought a different sound and energy. In turn, the laser looks changed right along with it.

Two Stages Packed with Laser Power

Stage 1 featured 16 42-watt KVANT lasers, giving the crew plenty of power to create large aerial effects above the festival crowd.

Meanwhile, Stage 2 offered an entirely different setup. It featured six 42-watt KVANT lasers, six 40-watt ClubMax lasers, and four 24-watt ClubMax lasers. With that combination, the team could build a wide variety of looks throughout the weekend.

As artists changed, so did the visuals. Some sets called for bold effects and fast movement. Others created opportunities for slower builds and completely different patterns. Because everything was busked live, the team could follow the music as it happened.

A Crew Working in the Moment

Mitchell Blakemore led the laser crew, working alongside Justice Park, Thaddeus Tompkins, and Michael Moore.

With two stages running throughout the festival, teamwork played a major role behind the scenes. The technicians stayed connected with each performance while keeping the production moving. At the same time, they could get creative and respond to the energy coming from both the artists and the crowd.

Bringing Another Dimension to the Festival

Das Energi already delivers plenty of energy on its own. However, adding live laser effects gave the music another visual layer. The combination of powerful equipment, live control, and two unique stage setups meant there was always something different for festivalgoers to see.

From the first sets of the weekend through the final performances, the crew stayed in the moment and let the music lead the way. Das Energi 2026 gave them the perfect setting to do what live busking does best—turn the sound, energy, and atmosphere of each performance into something the crowd could see.
