There are concert venues, and then there’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
On August 22, 2026, Rebelution took the stage in Morrison, Colorado, surrounded by towering rock formations, an energized crowd, and one of the most recognizable concert settings in the country.
As daylight faded, the production took on a whole new look.
When the Sun Goes Down, the Lasers Come Out
The laser setup featured eight 42-watt KVANT lasers, giving the team plenty of power to work with across the open-air venue.
As the evening grew darker, colorful beams cut through the atmosphere and stretched above the crowd. Meanwhile, the natural surroundings gave every look a dramatic backdrop that you simply can’t recreate inside a traditional venue.
The result? Rebelution’s laid-back reggae sound met a much bigger visual presence.
John Batts and Vahn Ivan Behind the Controls
Laser Technicians John Batts and Vahn Ivan handled the production throughout the performance.
Using live busking, they could follow the set as it unfolded and adjust the visuals in the moment. That gave the music room to lead while the lasers added movement, color, and energy overhead.
Still, the goal wasn’t to overpower what was happening on stage. Instead, the effects became part of the overall Red Rocks atmosphere.
A View That’s Hard to Beat
There’s something different about seeing lasers at Red Rocks.
The massive rock formations frame the stage. The crowd climbs high into the amphitheatre. Then, once darkness settles in, powerful beams have an incredible space to fill.
Add Rebelution to the mix, and the evening found the perfect balance between easygoing reggae vibes and bold visual energy.
From the stage to the top rows, Red Rocks gave the lasers room to shine—and Rebelution gave them the perfect soundtrack.
