New York City provided quite the backdrop for 3BALLMTY at The Rooftop at Pier 17. With the East River and city skyline surrounding the venue, the outdoor setting was ready for a night filled with music, movement, and plenty of visual energy.
Then, once the music got going, the lasers joined the party.
Taking the Energy Above the Crowd
The production featured KVANT lasers ranging from 40 to 60 watts, bringing powerful aerial effects into the rooftop setting. As the beat moved, bold beams reached above the audience and added another dimension to the performance.
Meanwhile, the intimate rooftop atmosphere made the visuals feel even closer to the action. With New York City surrounding the venue, there was no shortage of scenery beyond the stage.
Shane Martz Behind the Controls
Dynamic FX Laser Technician Shane Martz handled the laser production for the night. Using live busking, he could react to the music in the moment and shape the visuals around what was happening on stage.
That freedom gave each part of the performance its own personality. One moment could build slowly. Then, the next could burst into a completely different look as the energy changed.
A Rooftop Show with a New York View
There are plenty of places to catch live music in New York, but a rooftop overlooking the city brings its own atmosphere.
