For Antonio “Sponge” Gonzalez, it was the latter. While studying at the University of Miami, a friend called him in for a last-minute event gig. That one night sparked a lifelong passion.
“I fell in love with event production and ever since I have been a part of live events.”
Antonio hasn’t looked back.
From Production Roots to Laser Focus
Antonio began working in event production in 2006. By 2019, lasers became part of his toolkit. Based in Miami, Florida, he’s built a career that blends hands-on experience with sharp creative direction.
Over the years, he’s taken on major responsibilities—designing, programming, and running lasers as a certified Laser Safety Officer (LSO). Every role matters. And when the lights come on, so does the pressure.
Touring with Stars, Creating Show Moments
When asked about career highlights, Antonio keeps it short—but powerful:

Two massive productions. Two huge audiences. A designer making sure every beam hits its mark. From rehearsals to live nights, Antonio helps turn sound into spectacle!

Despite all he’s achieved, Antonio hasn’t forgotten what it’s like to be new in the industry. That’s why his advice is simple and clear:
“Ask the dumb question and read the manual!!”
