SRO Indy 8-Hour at IMS: Speed, Endurance and Laser Power!

Racing. Rhythm. Light.

This October, from the 9th to the 11th, the roar of engines wasn’t the only thing lighting up the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The SRO Indy 8-Hour returned, bringing together world-class GT racing and high-performance endurance action — and this year, it came with a twist of light.

The 2025 edition was no exception.

From the opening laps to the final stretch, fans were treated to fierce competition, live pit action, and nonstop track drama. Drivers juggled speed with stamina. Teams made bold calls. Every second counted. But as the sun dipped below the stands and the final hours approached, something else began to take center stage — the atmosphere.

This year, that atmosphere was brought to life in a new way.

As the sky darkened, a carefully orchestrated lighting experience kicked in — led by two Kvant Club Max 10-watt lasers, brought in for their precision, clarity, and ability to amplify the moment without overwhelming it. Operated by experienced laser technician Nic M., the setup transformed the evening from a simple nighttime race into something immersive.

The beams cut through the air in time with the rhythm of the race. Fans on the ground weren’t just watching the cars — they were surrounded by light that followed the tempo of the event. These weren’t flashy distractions. They were part of the storytelling. Subtle when needed. Striking when it mattered.

Indy, Start your Engines & Lasers!

Furthermore, this fusion of motorsport and production added something extra to an already world-class event. And while the roar of engines and scent of burnt rubber remain iconic, it’s the layered experience — the visuals, the mood, the memory — that left a mark.

From behind the scenes, the laser gear blended seamlessly into the event, just like great tech should. But on the grandstands? It was unforgettable.

The SRO Indy 8-Hour is more than a race.
It’s a celebration of endurance, performance, and now — energy you can feel in more ways than one.
