Festivalgoers gathered at the Monterey County Fairgrounds as Collie Buddz brought his signature reggae sound to California Roots Music and Arts Festival. Surrounded by the coastal atmosphere of Monterey, fans enjoyed a set filled with feel-good energy, singalong moments, and festival vibes.
As the performance continued, the crowd stayed engaged from song to song. The music carried across the fairgrounds. Meanwhile, the visual production added another layer to the experience.
Live Lasers Across the Festival Grounds
Supporting the performance was a laser setup featuring:
- 4 × 58-watt KVANT Atom lasers
The system operated in a live busking format, allowing the visuals to react naturally throughout the set. At times, bright aerial beams stretched above the audience. Then, during key musical moments, the effects shifted to match the energy coming from the stage.
Because of that flexibility, the visuals helped create a unique atmosphere throughout the performance.
Behind the Production
Operating the laser system was Mitchell Blakemore, who managed the live visuals throughout the show.
Each effect flowed naturally with the music. Every transition remained smooth. And the production continued to complement the laid-back festival atmosphere.
