If you were anywhere around Pinellas or Hillsborough County on Friday, September 4, there’s a good chance you looked up and wondered the same thing. What were those bright Mystery beams shooting into the sky?
They could be seen from miles away. Naturally, people started talking. Some even hopped in their cars and followed the mysterious light to see where it was coming from.
The answer waiting at the other end was pretty hard to miss.
Two Sky Lasers. Two Cybertrucks. One Big Attention Grabber.
At the source were two KVANT Architect W500B Sky Lasers, each secured behind a Tesla Cybertruck.
The combination looked like something straight out of the future. Powerful beams stretched high above the area, while the Cybertrucks created an equally eye-catching scene on the ground.
However, this wasn’t simply a random display.
There was a reason Tampa Bay was looking up.
So, What Was It All For?
The beams were part of a promotion for BLOOM Dispensary in Palm Harbor.
Instead of relying on a typical sign or advertisement, the promotion created a mystery people could see from far beyond Palm Harbor.
And it worked.
The beams sparked questions, conversations, and plenty of curiosity across the area. For some, simply seeing them wasn’t enough. They wanted to know where they led.
That turned the promotion into something people could actually experience.
Yes, Aircraft Safety Was Part of the Plan
With powerful lasers projecting into the sky, aviation safety was an important part of the planning.
The outdoor laser operation was coordinated with the FAA for aircraft safety, following the required process for the event.
That preparation happened behind the scenes so the attention could stay where it belonged—on creating a bold promotion that people would notice.
Sometimes You Just Have to Look Up
Most advertisements ask you to stop and look.
This one had people looking up before they even knew what they were looking for.
Two Cybertrucks, two massive sky lasers, and one creative idea turned an ordinary Friday night into a Tampa Bay mystery.
And once people discovered BLOOM Dispensary was behind those unexplained beams, the promotion had already done its job:
It had the people talking!
