From March 12th–15th, 2026, the vibes were strong at Vinoy Park as Reggae Rise Up returned for four days of music, community, and waterfront energy. Fans gathered from all over to enjoy sunshine, great performances, and nonstop positive vibes.
Right from the start, the festival delivered. And on Thursday, March 12th, the energy peaked as Slightly Stoopid closed out the first night with a powerful set.
A Strong Start to the Weekend
As the sun went down, the crowd packed in closer. The music carried across the park. Then, as Slightly Stoopid took the stage, the atmosphere shifted. The energy built. The crowd moved together. And the night turned into a true festival moment.
At the same time, the visuals came alive.
Lasers Across the Park
To match the performance, the stage featured a large-scale laser setup designed for impact. The system included:
- 7 × 58-watt lasers
- 1 × 42-watt laser
- 6 × 6-watt AS lasers
- 1 × 20-watt Spectrum laser (etching)
Together, these units created a layered visual experience. First, high-powered beams stretched across the sky. Then, mid-range lasers added movement and depth. Finally, the Spectrum unit introduced detailed etching effects, giving the show a unique visual signature to open up their set.
As the music flowed, the lasers followed. Every cue added to the moment without taking away from the performance.
Music and Visuals in Sync
The combination of live music and laser production helped define the night. The beams moved with the rhythm. The visuals supported the mood. And the entire space felt connected.
Because of that balance, the show felt immersive from start to finish.
A Weekend to Remember
Opening night set the tone for the rest of Reggae Rise Up 2026. With strong performances, a beautiful location, and impactful visuals, the festival delivered exactly what fans came for.
And as the weekend continued, one thing stayed clear — when music, community, and production come together, the experience speaks for itself..
